Principal's Message

Welcome to Bednarcik Junior High School!

With a smaller student population, students aren’t just numbers in our school. Teachers and staff know students by name, personality, and potential. Relationships come first here, and that builds trust, confidence, and stronger learning outcomes. Our size fosters a sense of belonging. Students, families, and staff work together like a team. There’s a genuine connection between home and school, which helps students feel supported both academically and socially.

I became principal of Bednarcik Junior High in 2024 and have enjoyed getting to build meaningful relationships with our school community ever since. Prior to joining SD 308, I gained educational experience as a math teacher, dean of students, and assistant principal.

Our staff works closely as a team to empower students through leadership opportunities, goal-setting, and promoting ownership of their learning and behavior. We provide personalized academic and emotional support, meeting each student where they are. We motivate students by celebrating growth, fostering resilience, and creating engaging learning experiences. Every day, we commit to helping each student thrive on their unique educational journey, thus living out our district’s mission.

My hope is that we can foster the whole growth of each student, both academically and through social-emotional development. This means cultivating self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and strong relationship skills, all leading to responsible decision-making. Ultimately, I want our students to be resilient, purposeful lifelong learners who positively contribute to our broader community.
